BUSINESS EXPERIENCE: David is a LPL Registered Principal and Financial Advisor who offers Investment Advice and all Brokerage Services using the financial platform provided by LPL Financial. He was first registered with Lexington Mutual Funds in 1969 while he was still on active duty with the USAF. When he had completed his military service obligations, he joined Merrill Lynch (now Bank of America) full time in 1972. Merrill was the largest “Big Six” brokerage firm in the industry. Fortune Magazine had just ran an article on their training program and said, “Merrill Lynch has the most extensive training program on Wall Street. They interview over 450 candidates for each opening. Even then, over 50% of those chosen wash out of the program before graduation.” He consistently stayed in the top quartile for production vs his peers as a young stockbroker while at Merrill Lynch. He then left Merrill Lynch to establish a Commercial Real Estate firm in 1974. He sold his partnership at a profit and reentered the Brokerage Profession with the “Big Six” Brokerage Firm Rotan Mosely/PaineWebber (now UBS) and remained there as a Vice President Investment Counselor until 1992. He then accepted another promotion and had a distinguished 11 year career as a Vice President Investment Consultant with the “Big Six” Brokerage Firm Wachovia Securities (now Wells Fargo) until 2003. He then founded KOINONIA FINANCIAL, LLC. Added together that equates to going on 50 years as an active Securities Investor and Licensed Investment Advisor (34+ years continuous after reentry and relicensing in 1982). He is well known and respected in the area of 401k Development and Fiduciary Services in the Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and Austin Texas Region. He also serves and develops plans in Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana. He has 401k experience with well in excess of 100 different large employers. He has taught continuing education to CPAs and enrolled IRS agents concerning Corporate Retirement Plans. He has earned letters of recommendation from companies such as Blue Bell Creameries in Brenham, TX. He has been written up and quoted in numerous publications concerning his Corporate Consulting work. He has served on the National Advisory Council of First Mercantile Trust, Memphis, TN (15th largest provider of 401Ks in the USA) and Fidelity Advisors Mutual Funds, Boston MA (1st in USA).
